This past Tuesday I actually got to go and chaperon Hyrum's field trip to the Ogden Nature Center. They were learning about trees.
Here they are learning about what the different leaves look like, the difference between coniferous and deciduous trees, and all having fun doing so.
Here they are all receiving instruction on how they are going to make their own paper.
Making paper.
There was a nature trail there called birdhouse trail in which there are bunches and bunches of various different kinds of birdhouses made by members of the community. I took snap shots of some, but they were pretty wild, made out of all kinds of things. This one is an adobe home.

Propane tanks.
This kept the temperature for the birds.
It was a lot of fun and Hyrum and his class had a blast. It was fun to be along for the ride and get to see some of what he has been learning.
