Christmas Tag

1. Egg nog or Hot chocolate?

I like both. Hot chocolate can't be too hot and it has to
be made with milk. Egg nog is great, but only in the
smallest portions.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?

Neither or both.

3. Colored lights on a tree/house or white?

White. I prefer simplicity.

4. Do I hang mistletoe?

No

5. When do I put up my decorations?

As soon as I can. This year about the
middle of December.

6. What is my favorite holiday dish?

I love it all. But probably the potato dumplings.
Yummy!!!

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child?

Oh my mom may not like this but I really
don't have any, not that I can think of right now
anyway. It's the bad ones that have stuck with
me which is really unfortunate. I just remember
hating my mom for sitting on the couch with that
stupid camcorder recording us right after we
woke up and all the fighting over who got more.

8. When and how did I learn the truth about Santa?

I really don't know, a part of me still believes
in him. To me, Santa is the very spirit of Christmas.

9. Do we open a Christmas gift on Christmas Eve?

Christmas Eve; I embrace my German roots strongly.

10. How do I decorate our tree?

This year not much. The kids are going to make
felt decorations so that I don't have to worry
about anything getting broken.

11. Can I ice skate?

No and I've never tried.

12. Can I remember my favorite gift?

Nothing in particular really jumps out at me.
I've gotten better gifts then on Christmas,
like the day I married my sweetheart.
There's no Christmas gift that can top the gift
that he is in my life.

13. What is the most important thing about the holidays for me?

Family. And I hate that I don't really have that
this year. All my extended family is so wonderful
and they are a great blessing, but this year really
feels so incomplete without Joe home to share it with us.

14. What is my favorite holiday dessert?

Marzipan cake

15. What is my favorite holiday tradition?

Opening gifts on Christmas Eve.

16. What tops my tree?

A star

17. What do I prefer - Giving or receiving?

Both, but who doesn't really. However, I do
love taking a moment to give to someone who
really needs it this time of year.

18. What is my favorite Christmas song?

Mary Did You Know?, O Holy Night, My Christmas Wish

19. Candy Canes?

Yuck!! Sorry, I really don't like candy canes.
