April Reading

Well, I feel like a total putz this month. However, between Military obligations and the fact that I decided to tackle "The Divine Comedy" (which isn't so easy to read with kids yelling at you all day long), I didn't get near as many pages done this month as I had hoped. Well, the nice thing about goals is that we can dust ourselves off and start again. So, hopefully I can exceed the 3000 mark in May. Here's hoping. Actually, let's just hope I can finish Dante!! I L.O.V.E. reading it!! However, with the kids around, if I want any chance in understanding what I am reading, the moments of quiet reflection are truly few and far between.

Fablehaven: Rise of the Evening Star, by: Brandon Mull -- pgs. 431
Fablehaven: Grip of the Shadow Plague, by: Brandon Mull -- pgs. 477
Fablehaven: Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary, by: Brandon Mull -- pgs. 527

** I love this series. I also love when a new book comes out in a series because it gives me the opportunity to re-read everything.

The Thief Lord, by: Cornelia Funke -- pgs. 345

The Dante Club, by: Matthew Pearl -- pgs. 372

**A really great book, but it made me want to read Dante again for myself. If you don't have the time for Dante, and you are naturally inquisitive like myself, you may want to read this when you have some real time.

The Divine Comedy, by: Dante Alighieri -- pgs. 229 (Haven't finished it yet, but still digging through)

As of now total 2381
total for year 12969

I do the same thing as you, I love to read the whole series again when a new book come out.

Fablehaven was an excellent reading choice this month. As far as Dante, I tried once years ago, I was much less experienced back then, maybe I should try again.
